Best Android Radio for a Ford Ranger (T6 & T7): CarPlay Upgrade Guide

The Ford Ranger is one of South Africa's best-selling bakkies, but the factory radio on the T6 and T7 feels dated next to a modern phone. A DUDUAUTO Android radio replaces it with a large touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and proper navigation, using a dash frame and wiring harness made for the Ranger. Which radio fits my Ford Ranger?

The Ranger's dashboard changed with the facelift, so the radio has to match your model:

• Ranger T6 (2011–2016): the Ford Ranger T6 2011–2016 DUDUAUTO Android Radio.
• Ranger T7 facelift (2015–2020): the Ford Ranger T7 2015–2020 DUDUAUTO Android Radio.

The T6 and T7 overlap in 2015 and 2016, so the year alone doesn't always tell you which one you have. The easiest way to check is to send us a photo of your dashboard on WhatsApp (083 315 4278) and we'll confirm the right kit before you buy.

Each radio comes as a vehicle-specific kit with the correct dash frame and harness, so it fits the original opening without cutting.

Will my factory reverse camera still work?

Yes. On the Ford Ranger, the factory reverse camera keeps working with a DUDUAUTO radio, and the picture shows on the bigger screen when you select reverse.

DUDU3, DUDU5 or DUDU7?

Both Ranger radios come in three versions. All of them run Android, so you can download apps like on a smartphone, and all give you wired and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, GPS navigation and Bluetooth.

*Our 360° camera kit needs the radio to be ordered with the 360° chip, as it can't be added later. If your vehicle already has factory 360° cameras, you don't need the chip.
