The Toyota Hilux is South Africa's favourite bakkie, but most factory head units feel dated within a few years. Which radio fits my Hilux?
Hilux dashboards changed with each generation, so the radio has to match your model year:
- Hilux and Fortuner 2004–2014 (D-4D): the Toyota Fortuner / Hilux 2004–2014 DUDUAUTO Android Radio.
- Hilux GD6 2015–2025: the Toyota Hilux GD6 2015–2025 DUDUAUTO Android Radio, made for the GD6 dashboard.
- Hilux SRX 2026 and newer: the 12.3-inch Toyota Hilux SRX 2026+ DUDUAUTO Android Radio.

DUDU3, DUDU5 or DUDU7?
Most Hilux radios come in three versions. All of them give you wired and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, GPS navigation and Bluetooth. The differences are speed, sound and camera options:

*Our 360° camera kit needs the radio to be ordered with the 360° chip, as it can't be added later. If your vehicle already has factory 360° cameras, you don't need the chip.
If you tow, park in tight spaces or drive off-road, the DUDU5 or DUDU7 with a 360° panoramic camera is worth it (order the radio with the 360° chip). You get a bird's-eye view around the bakkie, which helps when hitching a trailer or squeezing into a parking bay.
Useful extras for a Hilux

- Tyre pressure monitoring (TPMS) shown live on the screen, handy on long gravel roads.
